ABOUT GINA MARIE FIT

My name is Gina Scafoglio, and I began my fitness journey in 2013 after graduating high school. I spent 3 years lifting nearly every day, but I never saw much progress due to poor nutrition.

In 2015, I became fed-up with my lack of progress, so I learned how to count my calories and macros.

After seeing tremendous progress in a matter of months, I decided to continue my research, coach myself and compete in my first NPC bikini show where I took home first place. I competed again in July of 2017 as well as September 2018, where I took home first place titles making it 3 for 3!
Along with my competitive accomplishments, I have been able to completely transform my mind and body, losing nearly 40 pounds of body fat and adding a substantial amount of muscle as well.

Although I have made a career based in fitness, at the time I was a full-time student and bartender. Having a busy schedule and goals unrelated to fitness is something I can relate to. When you work with me, we will find a routine for you that is effective, efficient, and respectful of your time.

My ideology resides in modern research in the fitness industry, and I stray away from "old school" techniques that tend to be extreme and not maintainable. I don't implement low-carb diets, liquid diets, juicing, keto, paleo, Atkins, or any extreme diet techniques for my clients. Although many of these diet techniques do work, most of them are not suited for long-term use both physically and mentally.

Instead, I believe in a balanced, wholesome diet that allows you to enjoy the foods you love in moderation. Your nutrition plan will always include several tasty meals and snacks that have a balance of healthy proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. (IIFYM/If it fits your macros!)
